Innovative Solar Solutions, formerly SC Solar, Inc., was started in 1999 in order to meet the growing demand for solar power both in the US and internationally. Based in Charlotte, NC, we design and supply equipment for solar powered systems for commercial, government, industrial, and residential customers. We take pride in offering a high degree of customer service and reliable products and services to our customers.

 Erik Lensch - President
As President of Innovative Solar Solutions, Erik is responsible for the oversight, coordination and the financial aspects of the business. He graduated from Radford University in 1992 with a BA in Marketing. He completed the Renewable Energy Technologies: Photovoltaic Track at NC State University, Solar Energy International Developing World training, and is a certified SMA-Sunny Boy installer. Erik enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, reading, hiking, kayaking and of course, everything solar!
 Sean M. Hackett- System Designer
As a System Designer at Innovative Solar Solutions, Sean customizes appropriate solutions for a number of applications. These range from solar battery charging systems to renewable energy based water pumping systems for residential, agricultural, and industrial requirements. Graduating from Appalachian State University in 2007, Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Appropriate Technology. He has obtained the NABCEP Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge. Sean is passionate about outdoor adventure and enjoys rock climbing, the ocean breeze and clean, free renewable energy.
 Michael D. Byerly – Financial Controller
As Financial Controller at Innovative Solar Solutions, Michael handles the day-to-day accounting function, and coordinates purchasing, sales & administrative operations. Michael graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1997 with a BA in Economics from the Friday School of Business. His employment background includes project management & data analysis in the Home Improvement Industry as a 3rd party vendor for major manufacturers of consumer goods. Michael enjoys the outdoors and professional sports as well as painting & photography, and spends hours each day updating his unique and ever-changing Skype signature.
 Jason Burnett - Sales Engineer
Based out of Taos, New Mexico, Jason joined Innovative Solar as a Sales Engineer. Jason previously worked for Dankoff Solar where he built DC water pumps, and more recently spent the last 3 years designing off-grid and grid-tied solar systems at Conergy, Inc., one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world. When not designing solar systems, Jason spends his time avoiding bears in the mountains of northern New Mexico while hiking with his wife and two dogs. Occasionally you will find him rafting the Rio Grande during warm weather, or on the side of the road in Mexico with flat tire on his motorcycle - patiently waiting for a ride.
