The Xantrex Grid Tie Solar Inverter (GT Series) is designed to convert photovoltaic  electricity produced by solar modules into utility-grade power that can be used by the home or sold to the local electrical utility. The Xantrex GT Series Solar Inverter comes standard with AC and DC disconnects and uses a large heat sink to dissipate heat instead of using a fan. With accurate MPP tracking, the GT Series ensures maximum energy harvest under a range of environmental conditions. 

There is aslo the XW Series inverters which allows you to have a battery backup and be tied to the utility grid. If the utility power goies out, an XW  power backup can maitain your critical loads until the utility power is available again.
