Kaneka Corporation’s electronic products business unit manufactures silicon thin-film photovoltaic modules. 

Innovative Solar offers the P-Type and G-Type modules from Kaneka. These low-voltage amorphous-Si PV modules generate higher power during higher temperature summer months (compared to crystalline silicon PV). Amorphous-Si PV modules can deliver maximum performance during summer months when electricity is needed most for air-conditioners in houses and offices.

Solar modules from Kaneka can be used for remote area power supply (off-grid homes and other applications) or in conjunction with a grid-tie inverter to complement a customer’s solar power with electricity from the local utility. 

Kaneka offers a 25 year power warranty on its G-Type PV modules, and a 10 year power output warranty on its P-Type photovoltaics. 

Kaneka began research into thin film silicon PV modules at an early stage. This has allowed the company to assume a leading position in the industry over the past 20 years.
